Rumble

Image
Rumble, my husband named this little guy and he has the shortest legs, biggest paws, and runs so funny, I just love watching him play in the backyard. His legs seem so short it looks as if he is always hunching down into the ground....I guess his legs are just running a little behind...lol. Kittens are so fun. The carts I used were New Testament for the tree, which was fit to page. The fence was from Heritage at 3 inches. The grass was from the Imagine cart Nursery Tails but I just used the image to cut on the E2 at various sizes from 2-3 inches. The cats are from Meow, sized from 2-3 inches. The lettering is from the E2 (already loaded) and I believe its simply called alphabet. The paw prints are from a punch and the stones I cut freehand. Thank you for visiting! -n- Happy Craftin!

Granny 'n Danni

Image
The photo is of Grandma and my niece, Danni. Danni was leading Grandma  to the swings to play in the springtime. I have always loved this pic of the two of them and wanted to do something special with it. I manipulated the pic in photoshop to add a painting technique to it  and I really like how it turned out. I wanted really soft colors for it so I chose the Blossom Imagine cart. This cart has some very nice pinks, blues, greens and yellows, all very soft. I used this paper for everything on this page, including the brads. I used Home Accents for the word family and since I am out of chipboard I cut it out on the Imagine in multiple layers to give the same effect. I just love being able to use the regular carts with the Imagine and just fill it in with whatever colors you are using. It makes things so easy. For the scallop border I used a ek border punch. I dot the I in Family using Scribbles/candy pink. For t...

Christmas Tags

Image
Why is it we feel like we have a handle on time during the holidays and then all of a sudden BAM its right there and you still have so much to do...lol. I am just now getting packages wrapped and while doing so I made these tags using the Imagine. The project literally took me no more than 5 min tops. So easy and fast! The tags were made from the Imagine Santa's Village cart. Tags were made from single image sizing it at fit to page. Took the remaining white paper off, then I placed them directly into the xyron create a sticker machine. The smaller ones fit two at a time and the larger ones fit perfectly. Now they are all ready to put on the packages. Love how easy this was...oh and did I mention FAST! :) Thanks for stopping by during this busy week. :)

Cricut Handbook Storage

Image
I made the drawer out of cardboard and covered with scrapbook paper. My room colors are pink/green/white so I made this to blend in.This holds 55 handbooks comfortably. I am still able to get my hand inbetween each book. I have them all alphabetized. It is fitting into an IKEA leg for a desk. It has an adjustable shelf. On the bottom I keep all my photo paper and current scrapbook projects along with my MS scorer. I didn't really use the top for much so I decided to make this fun drawer for my handbooks.

Christmas Cards

Image
On all my cards I used a new cart I just got from the Circle, Paper Trimmings. I did three different styles. On all I glittered the tree and the frame with Scribbles/Crystal. I embossed all the backgrounds behind the tree using the swiss dots embossing folder. On this one I first put gold on the folder prior to embossing. I also added gold to the tan background. Can't see it too well on the photo. On the star and trunk I used a gold metalic pen along with used Scribbles/Glitter Gold. I love using ink on embossing folders and I did that on the darker blue background using Memento white and silver pigment ink. The folder is Sizzix/Snowflakes. The star I used Studio glitter glue/Silver and the trunk I used a silver metalic pen and Scribbles/Silver Glitter. On the tree I used the layer option on the cart instead of leaving it white. I had to add some green, now the actual card itself is a dark green, the picture almost makes it appear black. I always have loved the red ...
