I love the snowflakes on the Winter Lace cart. Each one of them has a different symbol in them. This one has hearts and being winter I made a Valentine's card out of snowflakes and kept the colors neutral. I did this for a contest that I did not win, but I love the card. I embossed all the flakes and the Winter Kisses tag. You can hardly see it but there are clear embossed snowflakes to the right and left of the tag. The snowflakes on the card are embossed with gold then with winter wonderland and finally a clear coat. I had made two of these, one for the contest and one for my hubby. Its one of my favorite Valentines cards I have made. Thank you for visiting. :)

Valentines Day Cards

These cards I did for charity. I wanted to make a lot in a very short time frame. I made 24 of them and they came together very quickly thanks to some great punches I found.  I saw a friend using a scallop heart punch and I loved the look. So Friday I went on the hunt for it and found not one but two!! Of course I had to get them both...lol The paper is Anna GriffinValentina Collection. I punched the inside hearts from one page she had full of them. The scallop edges match the scallop on the hearts. The edge punch is from EK success I had gotten as a Christmas gift. What fun punches these were to use. Now I am off to make my hubby something special for Valentines Day. Thank you for visiting and Happy Craftin!! :)

Niagara Falls in the Winter

Image
This is the falls in Winter. When I was a little girl I saw the falls from the New York side and this time I was with my hubby and we were on the Canadian side. Canadian side is the most beautiful. You can see so much more of the falls. If you are ever up that way during the winter months I highly recommend stopping at the falls. It was so cold I wanted to create a page that just made me feel cold. I cut out these snowflakes using Winter Woodland on white paper. I then embossed them with star dust, then added a thin layer of Ice White pearl pen, then added crackle glossy accents. Finally I added a few rhinestones for sparkle. I edged the white paper around the photos with Zutter distrezz-it-all. I wanted to try and add a feeling of snow drifts. I really need to improve on my journaling but I do have a few here. I cut out circles and added Martha Stewart sugar cube glitter to the bottom layer, some silver sparkle on the top. The paper on the corner ...

Remembering Dreams...

This photo is a very special one to me. I have been hanging onto it now for 26 years. I took this photo while on vacation when I was 15 yrs. old at a place called River's Edge in Canada. I'm not positive of the name of this lake but its near or part of the Klinaklini River near Kleena Kleene. I had bought a Polaroid at a 2nd hand store, I loved cameras, and I took it with me. I went out early one morning and just stared out into the water for hours. I took this pic before leaving and it ended up being the only one I took with this camera as I had gone horseback riding later that day, fell off the horse and broke the camera. lol, so much for my new (almost new) camera. On the way home I remember deciding while looking at this pic that I was going to be a photographer.  I used paper from DCWV The Cafe' Mediterranean stack, both solid and patterned These flowers I absolutely love, I have had them for a while. I won them years ago at a crop but...
